On 31 December 2018 Cheelgadi hosted a Grand New Year Eve Celebration from 8:00 PM. The night was billed for vegetarian and non-alcoholic people, with non-stop music and dance, Indian, Chinese and continental food, and a live view of aeroplane landing and take-off from Airport Road. A 1,00,000 watt DJ sound system ran the floor.
